After graduating from the USC School of Law, Jamie clerked for Senior Judge Robert H. Hodges, Jr. on the Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C. There, he solidified his desire to become a trial lawyer. He then moved back to Greenville, his hometown, and joined the Thirteenth Circuit Solicitors Office, where he spent his first few years prosecuting DUIs exclusively and honing his trial advocacy skills. Mr. Whalen has tried a range of criminal cases from armed robberies and DUIs to assault and battery and minor traffic offenses.
Jamie also has experience in civil litigation and trial on the defense and plaintiff’s side, the latter coming from years spent before law school at one of the nation’s largest plaintiff’s firms.
